Hi, well I'm 27 years of age, and I smoke...I got some chest pains a month back and it turned out to be costochondritis (inflammation of chest joints), but it scared me enough to quit smoking, and I've been off it for 9 days so far, but I honestly don't plan to go back to it. My question is. Will my health improve so that I'm least susceptible to cancers or heart diseases at some point? Remember I'm 27 and cancer and heart diseases do not run in my family genes.
