I just wondered if I could get everyone's opinion on smoking bans. Ohio just passed our smoking ban the beginning of this month and it is literally the topic of conversation everywhere, everyday.
Just wanted to get some thoughts/opinions on banning smoking in public places, and should smoking be permitted in private clubs such as the VFW, etc?

Ok what do u people think about the no smoking in restrauntes and bars and bowling alleys? im a smoker and i love being able to smoke a cig after i eat a nice dinner with my bf while we are out. and when i go to the bars with friends bc im only 18 and drink yet they all love to smoke when they drink and i do the same thing when i drink with friends so give me your oppenion?

As a smoker, I would have no problem with smoking bans in public places as long as they would end the ridiculous inconsistency and just ban cigarettes altogether (and make them a class-B narcotic). But they won't, because of the tax revenue... So it's mixed messages all round.
I suppose I just wanted opinions on this...
